Volunteers from the AEVEX Intelligence Solutions Business Unit Helped Pack 800 Toiletry/Hygiene Packs for Elementary & Middle School Students
Fayetteville, North Carolina, September 20, 2019 — Volunteers from AEVEX Intelligence Solutions gathered with other volunteers recently to help military children at Fort Bragg, NC. The group helped pack 800-toiletry packs or “Bird Bath Kits” as part of the Fayetteville Woodpeckers Community Leaders Program.
The goal of the program is to help supply personal care items to Fort Bragg students who do not have consistent access to these products. The children privately received the kits to provide them with the help they need, without any embarrassment. The kits contained a toothbrush, floss, lip balm, hand sanitizer, tissues, deodorant, hair ties, a small comb and Band-Aids.
As an official sponsor of the Fayetteville Woodpeckers, AEVEX is part of the Community Leaders Program. The program facilitates the team’s investment of time, energy, and resources in support of youth sports and military service members and their families. The program relies on its collaboration with local and national corporations, the Fayetteville Woodpeckers, and the Astros Foundation. The Fayetteville Woodpeckers have modeled the Community Leaders Program after the award-winning initiative of the Houston Astros official team charity, the Astros Foundation.
